Fundación ONCE, Digital Europe and EASPD announced the winners of project Accessibilitech Hackathon, that was held on June 22, 2022. The event, powered by Microsoft, aimed to engage the programming community in the design of inclusive solutions to encourage ICT industry and business communities to develop more accessible products and services.
A total of 25 participants were organised in 7 teams designed their solutions for a period of 24 hours and pitched their projects to the jury.
The following projects were selected as winners:
Telework: Speech Power-up by the team formed by Emmanuela Daniel, Nilesh Modak and Carlos Nuñez. Speech Power-up is an add-on-module to MS Teams for users with speech fluency disorders to overcome the barriers to an interruption-free & misinterpretation-free telework session.
Telecare: Accessible Platform for Telecare by the team formed by Magdalena Pitera and Pavan Bandarupally. The platform enables accessible features for motor, visual and cognitive impairment
eLearning: SIMPLIFY by the team formed by Utku Demiryakan, Büsra Bilgin and Atakan Nalbant. It’s a videoconferencing tool that allows to people with limited comprehension to use it with minimal or no assistance.
