Germany has released a new version of its online manual on accessible documents in learning contexts.
Germany’s federal monitoring agency for accessibility of Information and Communication Technologies (BFIT-Bund) has recently released version 1.3 of its online manual on accessible documents in learning contexts (German title: “Barrierefreie Dokumente in Lernkontexten”). Various authors have contributed to this work, including AccessibleEU national expert Gottfried Zimmermann.
Version 1.3 boasts a new chapter on Apache-FOP, written by Anja Ziemer. It explains how to generate accessible PDF documents (PDF/UA) using the open source application Apache Formatting Objects Processor (FOP).
